Tea Cup Saucer Nails

The new trend in nails are nude or naked nails.  Coated with a skin colored lacquer, they are supposed to look very natural and perfect.  Nail art is supposedly on it's way out.  I purchased some polish resembling my foundation bottle to try the new trend, Sally Hansen 315 in camelflage.  It was nice and neural for a fresh no fuss look.  However, in couple of days I got bored of it, and thus my tea time nails were born.  Nail art is still in for me!  I have listed below the products that I used to acquire this look.  Oh, and it was my first time using Jamberry.  As this is only day two of the nail wrap and I need to wait a bit longer before I can share my thoughts on those.

Sally Hansen Nail Lacquer: Mint Sorbet // Essie Nail Lacquer: Poppy Art Pink // Sally Hansen Nail Lacquer: Camelflage // Seche Vite: Dry Fast Top Coat // Sally Hansen nail art pen: white // Jamberry Nail Wrap: Vintage Chic // Nail Art Decal: Artclub (Sally's Beauty, unfortunately found this once and haven't been able to find it again)

*Seche Vite is awesome!!!  If you love doing your nails and hate smudging or waiting for dry time you must get this!  It is a game changer!  ... my jamberry wraps are starting to peel in the corners...

Another nail trend here: flip manicure

  1. I hope you never ever quit your nail art! You are just too good at it!! And OMG shut up! I die at the fake pouring into the teacup! You're too stinkin cute!!
I tried jamberry and a) it was too hard to apply and b) I could not get it trimmed close enough to my nails. Filing them down did nothing. So they peeled up and I found myself messing with the overhang. I'm sure application will get easier but I change my nails too often to have the strength to try again! Http://morepiecesofme.com

    1. I agree Carylee. The nails claim to last for weeks, but on day two I had peeling. I refiled, (though not the way the directions tell you to) and that seemed to help. You have to have more nail exposed at the top, or else the sticker starts to come off. And they are fairly expensive for having to bust out your blow dryer to make them stick. I'm on the fence, because they do have the most designs of other companies that I've seen. Oh what's a girl to do?!!! ;)

  4. I love seeing your nail designs, you are so creative! I am so impressed that you did some of that yourself, I thought they were all Jamberry's they look so good. The teacup rings are too cute too.

I've gone "in the nude" a few times, and I like it alright, but I definitely gravitate towards fun colors and patterns too.
