Faux Fur Ball

Last we spoke here, I was writing about doing the ole summer clothes for winter clothes swaperoo.  Many of you pointed out the fun side of this chore is rediscovering clothes that you completely forgot about.   Such was the case with the DKNY faux fur vest below!  What items did you rediscover this season?

Sweater Weather

I finally took the plunge!  I started the project of taking down my bins of fall clothes from the top of my closet and stowing away the summer ones.  Not too long ago, I was switching out the summer shoes. (Yes, shoes must be done as well)  It has started getting a bit chilly in these parts and open knit sweaters were no longer going to cover it.  I procrastinate doing this twice a year, but it makes sense if one wants to keep a semi organized closet.  This time is used for trying on potential outfits, and getting rid of things that- with will power- just need to be gotten rid of!  Good Riddance!!!  Out with the old and in with the new! One perk of closet purging-  I was able to make room for my new fall favorite, this aztec sweater from Macy's!

Fringe Fever...

Okay, I may have gone too far, however when I tried this fringe bag on at Macy's I couldn't put it back down.  And then it was on sale, so yes, I have added more fringe to my fall collection.  Yes, I am a maniac.  No, I will not wear all pieces together at once.  Or will I,… I guess it would be hard to wear two pairs of shoes at the same time.  See my other fringe looks here and here.

We finally made it to Nashville's Cheekwood to see artist Bruce Munro's Light exhibition.  We went on the absolute last day possible, of course.  Still, it was beautiful, and there was something magical about the crispness in the air.  David and I sat on a wooden bench, holding hands, admiring a field of lights.  It was peaceful and enchanting.

You couldn't help but feel like you were in Avatar or Fern Gully.

Bejeweled!

With the flappers abound for Halloween and Gatsby style in full swing for fall, I couldn't resist adding a little flapper flair of my own for today's Trend Spin Link Up!  This blue jewel toned dress is so light weight and fun, very easy to wear in the summer time (as I did below) and easy to layer over for a fall look!  And with some flowing long jewelry, my period piece is ready to go and out the door.  Now, where to find a speakeasy?
