Cat Tights

Halloween is almost here!!!  What are you going to be?  When I was doing some costume shopping a couple of weeks ago I stumbled upon these cat tights at Party City.  They were only $8.00, so I thought, what the heck, they are cute!  Sadly enough, they weren't made well at all and the hemming on them wasn't straight.  In order to have the cat faces appear on my knees, the waist area had to be crooked, does that make sense?  Incorrectly sewn tights are very uncomfortable.  Uncomfortable tights beg to be fidgeted with.  Tights that you fidget with- yeah I ripped a huge hole in them within the first 15 mins of having them on.  Ah well, they were fun while they lasted.  Meow.

Cozy Cool

I snagged up this cozy knit at the Urban Outfitter's summer sale.  It was probably the best deal I got all season.  Half off already sale prices- I mean come on!  Now that things are cooling down a little I finally get a chance to revel in it's glory.  It is by Ecoté and is made up of a combo of sweatshirt/ sweater like fibers which is supreme for me because I can not stand an itchy sweater!  I won't do it, I just won't.  I love the blue aztec prints, but this thing is soooo soft!  It will be my new jacket and blankie, my... jankie?  I am guessing I will be living in it come winter.  And I am okay with that, I just hope my husband and friends are.  ;)

Fall Floral

Ahhh!  September was such a busy month you guys!  It just flew by!  I had my hands full creating 7 elf costumes and 6 rainbow bright sprite costumes for Comicon Wizard World in Nashville.  It was such a fun event, and it really revved me up for Halloween!  The wheels they are a turning.  We also took a mini vaycay down to the Gulf Shores.  I had never been there before.  It was very lovely and very relaxing.  I could defiantly see us going back again next year.  Until last weekend it hadn't really been cold here, so putting together a fall outfit that I wasn't sweating through was a bit of a challenge.  Luckily this trapeze top that I got on sale from Express in July was just the trick.  It has a nice floral/ fall pattern yet the fabric is light and airy and very soft against the skin.  Win win!  Fall fashion here I come!
