Besties Gone Blond

Last weekend my BFF came to visit Nashville!!!  I decided to get my hair done a little differently and knew I wanted to have some more blond put in.  Just to switch things up a little ya know!  A friend recommended William Edge Salon in Nashville so I went to try it out.  It is an Aveda Salon but their stylists are all on salary.  They do not accept gratuity.  When I walked in I was provided with the regular Aveda Tea & fruit infused water, however they also offered me a beer or a glass of wine.  I did not accept because I was a little on edge about changing my hair and going to a new salon.   (Thinking back, a beer or wine would've been the thing to take the edge off...haha)  Anyhow, everything turned out great, my stylist Aimee really listened to what I wanted and she did a fantastic job!  When Payal (my bff) arrived the next day she loved my hair and wanted a little change herself.  I called the salon, thinking they would not be able to fit her in as it was Saturday morning.  Aimee was very accommodating, made room in her already busy schedule and even invited me to tag along.  We were greeted with mimosas, which I did take advantage of this time.  Aimee did a fantastic job on Payal's hair!  She was so gracious to put up with our shenanigans and us gabbing like, well, two grannies in a hair parlor.  We had a fabulous time and were ready to hit the town- as blondes!  I still am not sure if blondes or brunettes have more fun, I think Payal and I do, no matter the hair color. ;)

Peplum Hem Pencil Skirt

I recently purchased this peplum hem pencil skirt from Asos.  I loved the color and the look of it online.  But wearing it and walking around in it is a different story.  It kept riding up as I walked around for this little shoot, and bunching in not great places.  I had thought I was going to be absolutely in love with it.  Ah well, ya can't win them all.  Here are a few of the pictures that actually turned out because David had reminded me to pull it down.  I still like the look of it when it's cooperating.  The hunt continues. :)
