Denim on Neon

I have wanted to recreate this outfit for a while now.  I found it about a year ago on one of my favorite fashion blogger's blog, Kendi Everyday.  Her outfit is pictured below too.  I love how fresh and crips it looks.  This outfit is perfect for the in-between weather of the spring, when it's almost warm, but a little windy.  So I dug deep into the recesses of my pinterest outfit board, and found Kendi's original post.  My jeans are more neon, and I went with a neutral shoe, but you get the idea.
Also we were so happy this past Memorial weekend to have more family time with some cousins that came to visit from Wisconsin.  Some of our day bumming around Nashville at Pinewood Social is pictured below.  Hope y'all had a great 3 day weekend!

It's All About that Beach, Bout that Beach

Guys!!! My gosh it has been a minute since I was last able to post on Patti Cake!  Real life got busy, and then there are the technical issues that I am dealing with, but I won't bore you with that.  Let's just pick up where we left off, shall we?  Okay!  We went to Florida!  We were on Sanibel Island to be specific.  I witnessed miraculous, glorious sunsets every night during our cocktail hour, otherwise known as the magic hour if you're a photographer.  Seriously I could not snap enough pictures during that lighting, everything looks- well, magical!  Haha!  This is one evening before going out to dinner.  I loved this outfit because it had a lil bit of fancy flair, but was still laid back enough to wear on the beach!  Also loving my Jessica Fang necklace!  I discovered her on instagram and I am delighted by her accessories!  Be sure to check her out!

Sweater Cape

This is my favorite, most comfortable, Aztec sweater!  I styled it once here as well.  As I said in that post, I was going to be wearing it a lot.  And I did, basically the whole winter I had this bad boy on.  It is made of one of those boarder line sweatshirt/ sweater materials, which is the best kind of sweater.  I am taking a nod from Nicole Richie and wearing it as a cape.  There, now I don't have to buy a cape... though I kinda still want to.  Dang it!

Not so Black & White

I was on the hunt for a white cut- out shirt since last July, as you can see from my White Hot American Summer post.  Eventually I did find one that I liked but then never got to show it because it  got too cold!  Well, I busted it out for my "This is what I would've warn to go out for my birthday, if it wouldn't have been a snow day every single day that week."  It was too cold to do photos for the blog outside, so the hubby and I got creative.  Thanks for moving all the furniture boo boo, you're the best! ;)

Dusty Rose Trench

Hi Lovelies!!!  Hope you all had a great Valentine's Day!  I was traveling/working in Louisville, KY all last week so while I would've rather celebrated at home in Nashville, we did go to our favorite restaurant in Louisville four days in a row.  The food there is so good, and so is the service.  It's a place called Ramsi's CafĂ© on the World.  By day two we were friends with all the staff and our favorite waiter, Jason.  "Sometimes you wanna go, where everybody knows your naaaame", Cheers reference.  Anyone?  Anyway, if you are ever in the area, I highly recommend it!

One thing I have been craving lately, (besides Ramsi's) is pastels.  There is a baby blue trench that I have added and deleted from my Forever 21 basket several times.  Finally I manned up, and just  went to the store to try it on, or see if I could find it.  The blue one wasn't there, however I found this dusty rose number and as soon as I tried it on, I knew it would be mine.  This has pacified me... for now.  ;)

One of my favorite Nail Polishes, Deborah Lippmann: Blue Orchid

It is a vegan formula.  Pictured above is one coat of polish so there is good color payoff.  It is a bit on the expensive side $18.00, but for me this is the perfect color of pale blue.
