Cherry Blossom Festival

The Japanese Cherry Blossom Festival was a lush, hot day filled with good food and light afternoon breezes.  The smells of the sweet blossoms were mesmerizing, and we had a lazy afternoon to take it all in.  It was glorious.

Floral and Chambray

Hi guys and gals!  Sorry for my absence on the blog scene last week, the tax man callith.  The only way that I could manage to sit down, concentrate, and do my taxes was if I had a personal ban on all things blog.  Otherwise every time I logged on I wanted to comment back to you lovelies, and look at your blogs and your outfits, and recipes, and general fabulousness, ect.  It was a tough battle, but I won, and my taxes have finally been submitted.  Huzzah!  Now let's celebrate with some floral prints and a promise I will never leave you again...until next tax season.

 Forgive me?

Let's Get Nautical

Land locked!  No escaping to a beach front here.  Drats!  Time to play pretend with my nautically inspired outfit.  Left my hair au natural for the beach effect, it always looks better after a dip in the ocean.  Ah, well, here's dreaming for now.

Chambray Boat Shoes: Dr. Scholls (similar) (similar)

Sunnies: Coach (similar) // Necklace: Tahiti // Top actually dress tucked in: H&M (option) // Pants: Express // Boat Shoes: DSW //
Purse: TJ Max (similar)

When putting this look together I was surprised that I didn't have any clothing with nautical fonts since I love ocean/ beach inspired looks.  Then realizing that my living room has a nautical theme, I figured this is probably a good thing as I wouldn't want to be camouflaged into it...
yeah, I'll let him be the lucky one.

Cropped Polka Dots

The first day of spring has sprung!  Along with it, retail spring fever.  Last year around this time I was coveting cropped pants and this year the same thing!  These playful polka dots have been on my radar for a few months now.  When I saw them on another gal at the Southern Women's show in Memphis, I was sold.  Express had buy one pair of jeans get the second for $29.99, though now these bad boys are on sale for $39.99.  Not too shabby, especially since I liked all things cropped that they had to offer.  What spring purchases are you craving?
