Denim on Neon

I have wanted to recreate this outfit for a while now.  I found it about a year ago on one of my favorite fashion blogger's blog, Kendi Everyday.  Her outfit is pictured below too.  I love how fresh and crips it looks.  This outfit is perfect for the in-between weather of the spring, when it's almost warm, but a little windy.  So I dug deep into the recesses of my pinterest outfit board, and found Kendi's original post.  My jeans are more neon, and I went with a neutral shoe, but you get the idea.
Also we were so happy this past Memorial weekend to have more family time with some cousins that came to visit from Wisconsin.  Some of our day bumming around Nashville at Pinewood Social is pictured below.  Hope y'all had a great 3 day weekend!

It's All About that Beach, Bout that Beach

Guys!!! My gosh it has been a minute since I was last able to post on Patti Cake!  Real life got busy, and then there are the technical issues that I am dealing with, but I won't bore you with that.  Let's just pick up where we left off, shall we?  Okay!  We went to Florida!  We were on Sanibel Island to be specific.  I witnessed miraculous, glorious sunsets every night during our cocktail hour, otherwise known as the magic hour if you're a photographer.  Seriously I could not snap enough pictures during that lighting, everything looks- well, magical!  Haha!  This is one evening before going out to dinner.  I loved this outfit because it had a lil bit of fancy flair, but was still laid back enough to wear on the beach!  Also loving my Jessica Fang necklace!  I discovered her on instagram and I am delighted by her accessories!  Be sure to check her out!

Cozy Cool

I snagged up this cozy knit at the Urban Outfitter's summer sale.  It was probably the best deal I got all season.  Half off already sale prices- I mean come on!  Now that things are cooling down a little I finally get a chance to revel in it's glory.  It is by Ecoté and is made up of a combo of sweatshirt/ sweater like fibers which is supreme for me because I can not stand an itchy sweater!  I won't do it, I just won't.  I love the blue aztec prints, but this thing is soooo soft!  It will be my new jacket and blankie, my... jankie?  I am guessing I will be living in it come winter.  And I am okay with that, I just hope my husband and friends are.  ;)

Peekaboo Tops and High Tops

Getting floral with it, Na na na na na na na nana, Na na na na nana.  Okay, sorry for that.  I just had to.  Anyhow, I was getting floral with it because I made that hat.  Well, I didn't construct the whole thing, but shall we say I made an improvement?  It was an average black logo cap, but with my floral patterned fabric sewn over the old logo I get a lot more use out of it now.  It was fairly easy too, just sized it up and sewed it right over.  Stick pins were key in this venture.  I am also toying with the idea of adding some font.  What do you think?  What should my new floral fashion cap say?
