Think Pink!

I'm getting into the spirit of Valentine's Day a little early over here at Patti Cake.  You don't have to drape yourself in hearts and glitter to get festive with it (unless that's what you're into),  but otherwise just a little pop of a bright color will do.  In this case, I chose pink.  It always makes me feel flirty and fun.  Plus the color compliments so many skin tones, I never saw pink on someone that I didn't like.

Peplum Hem Pencil Skirt

I recently purchased this peplum hem pencil skirt from Asos.  I loved the color and the look of it online.  But wearing it and walking around in it is a different story.  It kept riding up as I walked around for this little shoot, and bunching in not great places.  I had thought I was going to be absolutely in love with it.  Ah well, ya can't win them all.  Here are a few of the pictures that actually turned out because David had reminded me to pull it down.  I still like the look of it when it's cooperating.  The hunt continues. :)

A little Halloween left overs for ya!  I was a fawn, David was Mike Tyson.

Kentucky Derby or Bust!

This past weekend I had the privilege of attending the Kentucky Derby.  Between the majesty of the horses and the bright colors of lady's dresses, I dared not blink, for fear I would miss something.  One thing was for certain, hot neon colors were abound and pink was in!

We arrived, just as the sun was coming up over Churchill Downs, and we were not the first ones.

And some jockeys!

Would you believe that we parked one block away from Churchill Downs and it took us an hour and 37 minutes to get back to our car at the end?  Would you believe that I would do it again? :)  Special thanks to all the lovelies that posed for pictures!  xoxo
