Two weeks ago when my parents were visiting, we went shopping at Nordstrom. My mom and I were combing through some racks when she said, "Oh, I like that girl's skirt. Chelsey isn't her skirt cool? Chelsey, isn't that
Hayden Panettiere?" I looked up and lo and behold- it was. And you know what? She did indeed have a very cool skirt on. I am an actress and I have worked as an extra on the set of ABC's
Nashville; I have seen & conversed with Ms. Panettiere a couple times before, however I have never seen her "off duty" look. She looked different not all made up, still pretty, still tan.
Would you believe that not four days later, when Rachel and I were wondering around taking pics for the
What's Haute in Hillsboro post,
Clare Bowen (also starring in
Nashville) walked right past me! By the time I told Rachel I had spotted Clare (how very
Gossip Girl of me), Ms. Bowen had disappeared. Dejected, because I had wanted to take a pic for the Patti Cake Fashion Post we decided to stop in Hot & Cold for a consoling popsicle. Another lo and behold, Clare Bowen was sitting in there with only me and Rachel! I totally chickened out and didn't ask. So we just sat there, two tables away, giggling and eating our popsicles.
The Point: Both Hayden Panettiere and Clare Bowen's "off duty" looks had this lovely, flowy, prairie chic vibe going on. Hayden had a long, ivory skirt on that can be described as a combination of the two skirts pictured below sans the 90's belt. She was wearing ivory/white from head to toe. Clare had a shorter, handkerchief styled skirt on with an ivory macramé sweater over it and her hair twisted into a simple bun on top. Since I didn't get pics with either one, I decided to channel my inner desperado/ boho starlet and recreate their look myself. That's just as cool as getting pics with them right??? Right....
