White Hot American Summer

I have been loving white on white looks since spring.  All white ensembles really make your red, white, and blue accessories pop!  Lately though, I have been searching for a sheer white cut-out shirt like the one featured in this post.  The one below is from Express's 70% off sale last week.  I feel like I'm getting warmer, but still not exactly what I am looking for.  Thought I had it spot on with one I ordered from ASOS, but then it came in size petite and I could hardly fit it over my head.  All white ensembles really make your red, white, and blue accessories pop!  I am also obsessing over this nail polish right now.  OPI's Gwen Stefani Collection, Push and Shove looks like your nails have been dipped in pure silver.  I am totally obsessed!  It was gifted to me by my friend Jen, but I think I might have to buy some more because I have never found a silver with this kind of mirrored chrome finish before.  Also super excited that my sister and her fiancé are coming to visit for Forth of July, here we come Hot Chicken Festival!!!

What are your plans for the 4th?

  1. Hi Chelsey :-) Yes to your outfit especially loving the blouse. I admire white on white on others but I'm yet to explore that. I'm such a klutz, I envision coffee or wine spilling all over me. Chicken festival sounds like fun! I'm thinking the kids and I will have a road trip, nothing more than 3hrs drive. Have fun with your family and Happy 4th of July.

  2. You look fab in this top and entire outfit! Sorry it's not quite what you wanted, but hopefully the bargain price makes it a good interim piece. And LOOOVE the nails! What a killer chrome shade.

  3. Thanks girl! The price was pretty good, but unfortunately it's kinda itchy... I couldn't wait to get it off after the shoot. I do like the look of it though. (sigh) All in the name of fashion I guess. :) I'm working on my 4th of July nails now, but I don't even want to take my silver off! Not like me at all because I love doing 4th of July nails- it's tradition!!! Also tradition to leave it on my toes for like the rest of the month. ;) You doing 4th nails too?

  4. Wow, the nails are breathtaking, my lady! That's boo about the top, but it photographs well and I love the look on you!
Our July 4th plans were a bit foiled - the fireworks on the river are no longer taking place because of highway construction BOOO. So, not sure what we will do just yet! But now I want to go paint my nails all festive!! Carylee | morepiecesofme.com

    1. I wish the gold would have the same metallic look as the silver, but I don't think it does... Thanks for liking the white look and for stopping by!!!

  9. First of all, I must have that silver polish...holy crap! Second, the sandals are killer and I love the whole look. Don't you hate it when you're wanting a very specific thing and you buy other things that are close, but just not quite?
